Welcome!

The Taylor Health Sciences Library serves the students, residents, faculty and staff of the Arkansas Colleges of Health Education by offering the latest medical and health sciences information at any time of the day, from anywhere in the world. While primarily a digital library, the Library also maintains a small print collection that includes multiple copies of required textbooks for short-term use. Come to the Library anytime you need research help or a quiet study space.

History of the Library

2017: The Library, commonly referred to as ACHE Library, was established with the hiring of the first library director.

2019: The Library was formally named the Taylor Health Sciences Library by Jan and John Taylor in honor of their daughters, Meredith Taylor Roberts and Laurel Taylor, and their commitment to lifelong learning.

Books: over 266,00 electronic books and approx. 400 print books

Databases: approx. 70 databases

Personnel: four full-time librarians with ALA-accredited Master's degrees and Academy of Health Information Professionals (AHIP) certification

Space: 31 study carrels (eight with computers); two standing desks (with two computers); one group study room (first come, first serve); workroom with two color/bw printers, laminator, paper cutter, shredding and recycling boxes, and basic office supplies
