Reference Management Software

Reference management (RM) tools or software, also known as citation management software or bibliographic management software, is software used by authors, scholars, students, faculty and staff for tracking bibliographic citations and managing project references. Libraries of work can be built in the RM software. Then the user can organize, sort, and reference when working on the writing project.

The three RM software listed in this guide are EndNote, Mendeley, and Zotero.
