Mission Statement of the LGBTQ+ Healthcare Alliance:
To advocate for and provide opportunities for the education of ACHE students, local medical professionals, and the greater Fort Smith community on the unique health care needs of the LGBTQ+ patient population and the barriers they face when obtaining healthcare. To provide social support for LGBTQ+ ACHE students and their allies. To actively seek opportunities to provide support for and to work with the Fort Smith LGBTQ+ community. To serve as a resource for ACHE students about conferences, community service activities, and other educational and networking opportunities.
